Training Hours

reply

Mornings at the racetrack are busy hours; from 6am until 11am, horses train with either their regular exercise riders or the jockeys who will ride them in races. The different parts of the track are for horses going different speeds and directions; the outside rail is for jogging (trotting horses), who go clockwise (called the 'wrong way'). The middle of the track is for horses who are galloping at a moderate pace, going counter-clockwise (the 'right way'). And the inside rail is reserved for horses who are 'breezing,' or working at high speed.

@DarklyWhite: Thank you! It's definitely a case of 'write what you know,' since there are so many experiences I can take from my career.

@Hellsion: Haha, thanks-- I figure I look at them all day, I should have some idea of how they're put together. :3
